Similes are always useful on short chat. After Google plus now Facebook as well added a simple little icon to use smiley directly from the chat interface. To me the minor Facebook update looks similar to Google+ for some reason but who am I to say when Google + followed Faacebooks path. But here you go a nice feature by faceook where you don't have to worry about remembering all that characters, just a quick update :)

New Facebook Feature: Easy Smiley
