Disable Comments In Blogger

Comments are the excellent medium to represent how popular a post or anything else is. Sometimes our website does not get a single comment where as some sites get more than 100 or 200 or even more than 300 comments. But one thing is sure that a post with high comments is regarded as a popular post and it’s obvious that people are likely to share and like it. Moreover comments also drive traffic to our site.Though comments have great importance sometimes in some post we do not want people to comment. If you own a site but don’t have any comment it will show “0 comments” after every post which we and others do not like.

Leaving a comment in such post like “Do Not Comment” or writing the same thing at the bottom of the post would not stop people from doing this. If they like that then surely they will comment on that very post which may depress you. So in this post I will teach you how to disable comments in blog posts. This is not so big hack or anything else which you are thinking. It’s a simple trick and later you can allow comments. So let’s begin:

1. Sign in to you blogger account.
2. Be forwarded to dashboard>settings>comments.
3. There you will see option either to allow or disable comments.
4. Tick on disable and save changes.
5. Now nobody can comment on your blog posts and nobody will see that irritating “0 comments”.

But wait! If you do this, than comment will be disabled for all blog posts. If you have infact some comments and want to show others then what will you do. Above tutorial disables comments for all posts. But don’t worry there is also a solution for it.

Let’s begin:

1. Be forwarded to dashboard>edit posts.
2. Click edit on which posts you want to disable comments for.
3. Scroll down and you will see an option like the above one, whether to allow comments or disable.
4. Click on disable and click on publish.
5. Now your post is published and others cannot see and comment on your posts.
