If you have a website then you will always interested in website monitoring tools offered by many websites like
UptimeRobot, Pingdom,
InternetSeer at free of cost. These sites will notify you either by SMS or E-mail as your preference when your website goes down. But here we will not discuss about these site as they have limited number of options. Here we will only learn to monitor website's uptime with Google Docs based on our personal customization. It can also be configured to check website status every minute.
Website Monitoring With Google Docs:-
It will take a minute to configure Google docs as an uptime monitor for your website.- First of all login to your gmail account.
- Click here to make a copy of Google Docs sheet.
- Write your website url and Email address (where you will get notification) in the space provided.
- Open Tools / Script editor, a new window will open up.
- Go to Resources / Current script's triggers to set up triggers.
- Choose "Time-driven" as a "Events" and set your notification frequency.
- Save the Trigger and Google Docs will show you a warning asking for authorization. Just accept it and save the Trigger again.
That's all if anyone still find difficulty in Website monitoring with Google docs then they can easily monitor their website with UptimeRobot, Pingdom with few click as explained above.
