How to Make Gmail Sms Alert With Twitter

Twitter is an online social networking service that enables its user to send and recieve text post of 140 characters, known as "tweets". As previously I had shared a article about Gmal sms alert using way2sms. But today I will tell you how you can receive alert of new email with the help of twitter. Simply we turn your Twitter Timeline into a Gmail notifier and you will get notified in Twitter as soon as your receive a new email. And since we can connect twitter to your mobile number, you can even get SMS alert for your new Gmail message on your mobile phone. Sound interesting ? So lets learn the tutorial.

How To Make SMS Alert For Gmail:-

Connect Twitter and Gmail With Google Docs:-

1. Go to twitter.com/signup and and create a new account for your Gmail inbox
2. Open "Settings" page and check "Protect my Tweets" and uncheck "Let others find me by email address".
3. Go to dev.twitter.com, sign-in using your Twitter account and use the following values to create an application.

Name:"Provide a name to your application" say gmailapplication
Description:"Description of application" 
Website:"http://internetricks4u.blogspot.com"
Callback URL:"https://spreadsheets.google.com/macros"

4. There should be no empty space within the Callback URL else Twitter will give an "Invalid URL format" warning. Accept the terms and conditions and "Create your Twitter application".
5. Now go to "Settings" tab of twitter application and change the "Access" mode "Read only" to "Read and write".
6. Save settings and note down Consumer Key and the Consumer Secret key "OAuth tool" tab.

Connect Google Docs And Twitter:-

7. Click on this link and make a copy of this document in your account.

8. Go to Tools /  Script Editors and replace the values of  TWITTER_CONSUMER_KEY and TWITTER_CONSUMER_SECRET from the values explained in step 6.
9. Go to Resources / Current script's triggers and create a new Time-driven for send tweet that triggers in every 5 minutes.

10. Save the Trigger and then click "Authorize" so that script can automatically read your Gmail Inbox.
11. Go to Run / Send Tweet to allow script to send tweet of your Gmail inbox.

Connect Gmail and Twitter:-

1. Log in to your Twitter account and sent a follow request to your Gmail account on twitter (Learn More)
2. Log in to Gmail account and approved this request.
3. Now we have done, You will receive tweets of your Gmail inbox as they arrive in your inbox.

How to Recieve Tweets on Mobile Via SMS:-

1. Activate your mobile number in twitter profile.
2. And turn on mobile notification to recieve SMS in your mobile inbox.
