COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL EXAMINATION 2012 NOTIFICATION  
 
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India conducts the Combined Graduate Level Exam for the recruitment of qualified aspirants to fill in the various vacancies coming up in public sector companies and government organizations.

The test is carried out in two levels, mainly Tier-I and Tier-II. Aspirants who pass both the tests with the required score have to attend an interview thereafter. Applicants who clear all the procedures can expect careers in SSC.

On the basis of 2nd Administrative Reforms Commission report it is now proposed to have a
Two Tier selection process on the basis of a single application for the posts for which recruitment is presently made through the following examinations: 
  • Combined Graduate Level Examination.  
  • Tax Assistant Examination.
  • Section Officer (Commercial Audit)Examination
  • Sub-Inspector in CPOs Examination  
  • Section Officer (Audit)Examination
  • Statistical Investigator Grade-II (for M/o Statistics & Implementation) Examination
  • Compiler (for O/o RGI)Examination
 Age Limit: 
  • 18-27 years for Inspector of Income Tax/ Inspector (Central Excise)/ Inspector (Preventive Officer)/ Inspector (Examiner)/ Inspector of Posts / Ass.Enforcement Officer and Divisional Accountants / Auditors /UDCs/ Tax Assistants
  • 20 to 27 years for posts of Assistants and Sub-inspectors in CBI.
  • 26 years for Statistical Investigators Gr.II
  • 20-25 years for Sub Inspectors (Ex) in Central Police Orgnisations.
  • Usual age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PH/ExS et
Educational Qualification:
  • Graduation in any discipline from any recognized Uniersity. (ii) Statistics/ Mathematics / Economics / Commerce subjects in Graduation for the post of Statistical Investigator Gr.II.
Structure And Exam Pattern
  • It is an objective type test,which comprises of questions on common awareness, quantitative aptitude and current events. Questions on legal aptitude, constitutional laws and amendments will also be included in the test. There will be a session in the test, which may consist of questions on English grammar and comprehension and Computer proficiency.
Application Fee :
  • Applicants who are applying through the offline modes alone have to pay Rs. 100 as application fee. They should remit the fee via “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)”, which are available in the General Post Offices of the country. There is no application fee for aspirants who come under SC/ST and PH category. Female applicants and ex-serviceman also don’t have to pay any sum as application fee.
How To Apply : 
  • The notification for the CGLE examination along with the application format will be published in leading employment dailies. Aspirants have to send applications in the prescribed format, after duly filling it to the SSC official address prior to the last date. They are supposed to affix recent size photographs in the suitable columns of the forms. Applicants can also choose the online application procedures for submitting the forms.

  • Release Date for Receipt of Applications Tier I : 23th March 2012
  • Last Date for Receipt of Applications Tier I : 20th April 2012
  • Date of Examination Tier I : 1st & 8th July 2012
