Q.1.(a) In context to an image, describe the sampling and quantization process. Draw sampled image spectra.?
      (b) Describe the image sensing is acquisition process employing a CCD camera.?

Q.2.(a) Discuss the various properties of two dimensional Fourier transform.?
       (b) Discuss discrete cosine transform (DCT)and its properties. Discuss how it can be used in transform based image encoding?

Q.3.(a) List different types of noise that may affect an image.Describe how an adaptive mean filter
may be implemented?
      (b) What is image histogram? How it is useful in image enhancement? Show mathematically the process improving image quality.?

Q.4.(a) Discuss the properties and transfer function of ideal low pass frequency domain filter.
Compare it with characteristics of Gaussian low pass filter?
      (b) How edge is detected in an image ? What are the different methods of it ? Discuss it using different operator and corresponding masks.?

Q.5.(a) What is the use of hough transform is edge-linking problems of images? How hough transform is implemented ? Discuss its characteristics.?
